Corporate Social Responsibility
As part of its social responsibility, Whatana has been involved in various initiatives with socio-economic impact, with the main focus in the entrepreneurship area. Also, Whatana has been involved in other social activities through its invested companies (Vodacom Mozambique and Bayport Financial Services Mozambique).
A project that will promote and support entrepeneurs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) gain access to financing for their projects through: a TV program, incubator platforms, conferences and lecturers. The mentors are Businessmen and Managers with proven track record in starting and managing businesses that are examples of success. Whatana is one of the sponsors of the project.
ZIZILE - Institute For the Children Development
A Mozambican non-profit and non-governmental organization created to focus on children (0 to 8 years old) harmonious development, so that they become citizens with knowledge and competences. Whatana contributed financially to the institute specific activities.
